A Playful Companion to Together in Rhythm by Kalani.
These group drumming activities enhance the drum circles we started with Together in Rhythm. This kind of cooperative learning develops social skills, teaches problem solving, helps pattern recognition and math skills in any setting.
The basics of counting and rhythm are presented, as are the National Standards met and multiple intelligences called on. Each game in introduced and broken down to processes for teaching and includes time span, instruments used, focus, standards, intelligences. We also get help with Drum Circle Music Cards and making our own instruments.
The CD plays the 5 rhythm tracks or, in your computer, allows you to watch many of the rhythm games.
