Using the structure of a piano sonata we follow the story of Wolfgang's elder sister Maria, a celebrated pianist in her time. In the First Movement their sibling geniuses are discovered. In the Allegro, Development, Recapitulation and Coda, we share their early tours together.
In the second movement, Maria is left at home while Wolfgang tours. Her love of music keeps her practicing and performing locally. When she marries and moves away from family, her love of music still keeps her playing and teaching right through the cadenza and finale.
In the Encore we read a 2-page biography woven with 18th century insights. Clever paintings incorporate brocade fragments and bits of music scores. A charming addition to Mozartiana.
