A Curriculum Guide for Teachers Without Music Training

This basic curriculum includes a 3-4 week unit of study for each of 6 levels. Each includes 3-4 singalong songs with recordings, listening activity examples on the CD, reproducible puzzles and games, extension activities, web visit suggestions, PowerPoint presentations, and content for the teacher to present the material effectively, all based on the National Standards. Students create, perform and move to music, experiment with 'found sounds', identify instruments by timbre, study famous composers and a variety of music genres.
