"Black or white, one leg or two, it doesn't matter. Good is good."
Clayton danced everywhere he went. He had a heart for dancing. At age 12, while working at a cottonseed mill, his leg got caught in a machine and had to have it amputated. But that didn't stop his desire to dance! He tapped out rhythms on crutches made out of broomsticks. Then his uncle whittled him a wooden leg with a tip that was half rubber for control and half leather for sound. Peg Leg created riffs all his own and people loved it! Later he had a peg leg made to match each of his outfits. During his life he danced all over the world. A true story of an unstoppable spirit.
