Students divide into 2 groups, red and green. Everyone claps the black and white notes, but only the green group claps the green notes and the red group the red notes. The blue notes are for a soloist.
Try it on different rhythm band instruments to hear contrasting timbres. Experiment with different tempos. Add dynamics. Improvise melodies on tuned percussion. Choose a conductor to lead the concerto!
