The historic live 1956 telecast of Mary Martin as PETER PAN! Director/choreographer Jerome Robbins (West Side Story), recreated in the NBC Studio the smash hit with the original cast, after its run ended in 1955. In 1956 a second telecast was performed live at New York's Ambassador Theater for an audience of children, with Martin and most of the original cast. The N.Y. Times hailed this telecast as “Thrilling!... a sublime escape from reality.” Unforgettable hits include“Never Never Land,” “I’ve Gotta Crow,” and “I Won’t Grow Up”.
