Set in the Appalachian Mountains, the title character is a bobcat, referred to by the locals as the “woods ghost.” The ghostly bobcat in the evening darkness encounters several delightful friends. Also notice the red thread that appears throughout the pages. Find it in the last page. . . was it all just a dream?
