• Bernstein Favorites: Children's Classics CD (4107)
  The 75 minute CD features Peter and the Wolf and Carnival of the Animals narrated by the great conductor/educator Leonard Bernstein, with marvelous insights about the stories and what to listen for in the music. We hear the original Offenbach "Can-Can", for example, then he explains how Saint- Saëns simply slowed it down and gave the melody to other instruments to make it seem fitting for a tortoise.
  Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra is narrated by young Master Henry Chapin.
